Scholarships
The youth of Ethiopia is the future of Ethiopia, and therefore must receive attention and investment in order to build a flourishing society. Many talented young people, however, do not receive the opportunity to truly flourish based on the economic circumstances they come from. These should be seen as squandered opportunities on behalf of society to allow for its social capital to grow.
Therefore, the reading campaign announces the Young Writer’s Scholarship in order to sponsor and fund young writers who lack the necessary resources to attend university. Awardees will receive funds to attend a university literature program in order to hone their craft with the hopes they will continue careers in literary fields upon graduation.
