The Ethiopian National Archives and Library Agency
Founded in 1944 by Emperor Haile Selassie, the original collections of the Ethiopian National Library were comprised of the emperor’s private collection which he donated. The National Library seeks to provide the public with books, reading spaces, and a public forum where research, writing and dialogue can flourish. With the new administration of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, the National Archives and Library Agency (NALA) seeks to expand its services and reach, now providing 24 hour service, to support students, researchers, and readers of all kinds. In light of this mission to expand its efforts in promoting reading culture in Ethiopia, NALA has graciously provided its support to Enanbib, Enabib!
